Your Dressing matters by Princess Adebola Paulina
It's a Sad commentary on any church when the biblical standard of Dressing is Ignored.
Have seen many people say what I wear doesn't matter as long as I know my God and he knows me.
No one can dispute that fact that you know your God, but what you wear portray who you really are.
Many attimes this has been the questions disturbing Christian sister, Should i use this? Can I do that?
But once they found an answer pleasing to their soul, they rock and move on with their lives.
But can I tell you, You're not created for yourself but for others.
Your life is not your own, so your dressing passes one message or the other to people.
This are some questions ladies ask?
Is untill I wear a long Turban which covers all my ears and is as long as the the sultan of Sokoto?
Is it untill I wear a long Plitted skirt that is touching the ground?
Is it untill I put on a long big blouse?
Is it untill I look like mama when am still in my early Twenties?
Is it untill I ?
All this question's has an Answer and the answer is in JESUS.
When you give your Life to Christ Genuinely, He will guide and direct you, When you study his word, You will see that anything you wear that doesn't cover your nakedness is wrong.
You will realize that clothing is a form of Expression and you might not have the second chance to give a first impression.
Been Holy doesn't make you look unkempt, rather you glorify God in yourself.
But, Those that wear and dress well their deeds are so bad to we that we show everything
Can I have your time, stop giving yourself any excuse, Stop looking at anyone but follow your path.
But my spiritual mother use this, bla bla.
Don't be a copied version of someone whom your conscience disturbs you about their dressing but rather find your convinction.
But am waiting for convinction, What if Jesus Christ comes before you receive convinction.
My dear sisters, Never lower your standards for any occasion, the way you dress is the reflection of what you are inside.
Modesty is the outward manifestation of an inward purity.
Your Dressing matters.
